Your personal data is processed by Seaside Homestead. You can contact us by email or by submitting a request through our website.
Data Collected
During booking we collect the following data: first name, last name, date of birth, email address, phone number, country of residence, and travel document issuing country.
Purpose of Processing
Data is processed for the purposes of fulfilling your booking, legally required guest registration (e.Turistas), and communicating with you.
Data Retention
Personal data is kept no longer than applicable law requires or than it is needed for the booking. Three years after your last stay your first name, surname, phone number and email address are deleted. For a further five years we keep only a hashed value that lets a returning guest be recognised but from which your data cannot be reconstructed; after eight years that is deleted too. A note the owner writes against a booking (for example "Petraitis, 2 people") is an operational record and is not covered by these periods.
Recognising returning guests
When a new booking arrives we flag whether the same person already has a record in our system β matched on phone number, email address or surname. This lets us greet a returning guest as one, without searching earlier records by hand. It is a purpose separate from processing the booking itself, and it relies on our legitimate interest (GDPR Art 6(1)(f)). The result is a "seen before / not seen before" flag, which field matched, and a list of the earlier bookings it matched (reference, dates, and what each one matched on), visible only to us in our admin system. We build no profile, make no automated decisions about you, and pass this to nobody. Once an earlier booking passes the three-year retention period its personal data is erased β only its reference and dates remain in the list. You have the right to object β contact us and we will remove your records from this matching.
